About Us

Our Purpose

St. Thomas Dog Owners Association (STDOA) is a not-for-profit organization that supports responsible dog ownership, advocates for the welfare and well-being of all dogs and promotes the development and maintenance of off leash dog parks.

Our History

STDOA was formed in 2008 by a group of concerned citizens in an effort to collectively lobby and fundraise for a proposed off-leash dog park in St. Thomas.  At that time, this group was called St. Thomas Dog Park Association. The dog park became a reality in 2009 and our name has been changed to reflect the broader scope and purpose of our organization.
