Our Purpose

St. Thomas Dog Owners Association (STDOA) is a not-for-profit organization that supports responsible dog ownership, advocates for the welfare and well-being of all dogs and promotes the development and maintenance of off leash dog parks.

Our History


STDOA was formed in 2008 by a group of concerned citizens in an effort to collectively lobby and fundraise for a proposed off-leash dog park in St. Thomas.  At that time, this group was called St. Thomas Dog Park Association. The dog park became a reality in 2009 and our name has been changed to reflect the broader scope and purpose of our organization. 
 

More About Our Dog Parks


The Lions Club Dog Park is a completely enclosed section of greenspace located near Lynhurst and can be accessed just west of Jumbo on Old Talbot St. The official address is 40038 Fingal Line.

The Kettle Creek Dog Park is located behind Dan Paterson Conservation Area, just off of Highbury Ave. S. The official address is 44070 Mapleton Line.
